Unusual Images Of Sickness And Hunger

Soap suds the tiles
I see the floor
Is cold
My urine reeks of
Penicillin
Drugs swimming in my bloodstream

My grandmother always jokes about
Sickness and Death
She says It is
Purely Personal
I don't see why you should come visit me

Last night, I remember,
I saw a stray cat scavenging
Through a garbage can
Clear plastic cups came rolling out
A fish head, soggy brown, opaque eyes and all
"Victory!"

funny nazis!

To home
In a jeepney
Try to read
Anselm Hollo
Distracted by damn
Cheesy 80's disco music
"Ooh, heaven is a place on earth"

Yes Anselm
funny nazis!
Not on TV though
On radio

In Transit

I ponder on the word luminescence
(I love the word luminescence)
A banana-full cart passes by my line of sight
Painted strips of white sequentially alternate
With dust and asphalt
This jeepney turns the corner
Lined with colonial horse carriages
The air is full of the smell of horse shit
PungentSweetSour
When I left the sun was scorching
Now the sky is marble blue dark
And the floodgates look ready to burst
Dead Cat Epitaph

gloomy
rainy
Friday
morning
On my way to school
I see
Flat
cat
road
kill
fur
flesh
blood
splattered
head
skull
crushed
I feel
like
that dead cat

Prompted By 4 Haloes

Fuzzy luminescences halo the full pewter moon above me
I wander through my own small forest (The Backyard)
Where the hounds never rouse
And the birds always watch
The pig on its back wanting more.
Consumed by night madness
The first halo upon me
Casted tiring tirelessness
The second halo also
I search for a sign of ants
The third and fourth haloes
Have taken effect a bit too soon.

Poetry (Mine)

My instructor asks for imagery
A reader seeks for meaning
Another feel the verses (mine)
Should rhyme
When all I could give them
Are a lot of beautiful words
Melded to express thoughts (mine)
While I pass away the time

On All Fronts

On all fronts
People are waiting for salvation
For the fire sent upon them (and by them) to seek retribution
To cease.
The blaze claiming souls unwilling but vulnerable
To this kind of disease-
Mediocrity
Approaching, wanting also to claim me
So I plead
Let not this darkness swallow me,
Let not this dullness overtake me.
Blue Angel

Everything's crazy
Most often
This wan world comes collapsing
Suddenly at once
Over the moon (every night)
You will find me
Watching over you

French Music, Abstractions And Coffee

French music, Edith Piaf, permeating the mood of my bedroom
I sit in front of my big black cup of black coffee watching
The painterly grey foam produced from my stirring
Swirling at the surface, moving towards the sides,
The mottled blackness slowly dissipating.

The storm over the water finally gone
Now only a calm level of caffeine
Stares back at me.

A Metaphor For What Happens If You Handle Success The Wrong Way

Exhausted of wanting
The blue flame collapses into the melted wax.
Extinguished by itself
The candle, once a pillar
Now merely remains a blob
Warm and soft for now
Until the air alters it hard and brittle.

Phosphorescent Dreams

She rose from her sodden dreams brilliant as the moonlight,
Phosphorescence emanating encompassing the room
Subtle and fragile as the light of enlightment would
Appear to me at night.

Tonight her beauty appears before my fire
Consumes my will, my mind and lets them go with ease
And lets me go of all uncertainties
Thought of the day before
She came to me.
